Dehydrated apples
SO easy and yum! I have a cheapo mandolin I love. Slice em up, lay em flat, and crank up the dehydrator, and 12 hours later= Owen approved snacks!
Our dehydrator is the one pictured here, Excalibur brand, ~175$. Other ways we use the dehydrator: peach chips, banana chips, dried herbs, fruit snacks, sliced oranges (great in earl grey tea), sliced lemons (for wreaths), jerky. It has come in handy with Owen's anti-mushy food aversion- He will eat any fruit that has been partially dried!
