The Wrestling Tournament
It has been one of my goals to see the boys in their sports, at least one game/match/meet a season. I was unable to catch any of them wrestling last year, so I had to make it this year around. Bryce and Michael are both in 8th grade, and Austin is in 7th at Pleasant Valley Middle School. (My alma- mater!)
Chris and I came up the hill to see some boys wrestle!! And that we did! It was a long day for the kids and parents, starting around 10am. We didn't show up until 4ish. I was thinking that we would have missed the whole match, but it didn't get over until after 8pm! Whew! Pictured above is cousin Michael and Aunt Lori.
Chris and Aunt Kim. (Both Uncle Brians were there, I just didn't get them on camera!!)
Here is Austin, looking fierce, wrestling one of his own teammates! They were hilarious to watch pre-match, as Austin was very serious and pensive, and his opponent was laughing, smiling, jumping up and down, and trying to get Austin to laugh!
Here is Bryce at his match. They wrestled for quite a while, but with no avail. It was fun to see you wrestle, Bryce.
This action shot is of Michael looking ready to pounce! He has the biggest heart, I thought it would be hard to watch him wrestle. But he was a great competitor himself. Way to go, Mike!
Day with Mom
Mom decided to come down to Sac on her day off to hang out with me (and later meet up with the Aubins). We had a picnic of Sunflower food mmmmmm. Then we took off on a walk/run adventure up the bike trail for a few miles.
The day was perfect, just enough sun to be warm, and just enough breeze to refresh.
Thank you for coming to visit me, Mom! I love being in the fresh air with ya! Hope to see you soon.

He's Here!!!
Baby Mathew David Staydohar was born on January 29th in the early afternoon. (The time difference always messes me up even though it is just an hour!) He was a little peanut, at 4# 2 ounces, and 17 inches long. After a few days stay in the hospital, Shari and Mathew were free to go.
Congrats to the new parents!
He loves to sleep with his arms up above his head.
Finally awake!
This one is my favorite. His little hands look like he is praying. What a sweetie! It is so hard to not be able to meet him. As long as he knows that he has an Aunt and Uncle who are very excited to meet him soon. We love you Mathew!

Thank you Grovers!
For my Graduation present (yes, from last May), the Grovers wanted to take us out to dinner at HEYDEY. Jay and I are famous for delivering Christmas presents in June, and Birthday presents months late. It was a wonderful double date. Chris started out the eve thinking about his upcoming test. But he let his guard down, and ended up getting an A on the test!! Wahoo! Thank you Grovers, for a wonderful evening and friendship!
Hanging with the Girls
Wynt and Dave went out for a date, so we had the girls for awhile. Lily is so good at taking pictures on her digital camera, she really has an eye for it. It is amazing to check out her pictures and see things from a shorter perspective!
Popping corn with the air popper was a highlight for us all! Thanks, Uncle Chris!
Dave was gone for a work trip to Israel, so Dad and I went over to Wynt' s to hang out and keep them company. They are all playing the Goodnight Moon game, oh, what a challenge!!
Originally dad and I were going to bike from my area to Wynt's house in EDH. But there was a prediction of torrential downpours, so he didn't even bring his bike. Did we have torrential downpours? NO, it was a beautifully sunny (yet cold) day perfect for a ride. Oh, well. We went for a walk with the girls, and then about another 20 minutes.
This video was taken at our house. The futon was down from Ava taking a nap eariler. They beg to wear their jammies that Aunt Court gave them, and they love dancing with all of Aunt Chels's silly music!
