Our 2nd Wedding Anniversary

We decided to go to Yosemite because the last time that I went I was 13. Chris has never been before. We stayed for 3 days, and 2 nights in a tent cabin in Curry Village. Our first day, we went up the Mist trail to the top of Vernal Falls. Weatherchannel.com said that Yosemite would have highs of 75 degrees, but it was super warm, in the upper-eighties. This hike was only around 2 hours, but it was one of my favorites. The climb to the top is amazing because you can feel the mist of the waterfall the whole time. You are soaked from the mist, and it is even a risk taking out your camera!
The next morning, we drove up to Glacier point and Washburn point to get the full view.
Then, we hiked up to Columbia rock for a sweet look out. (Here we are almost to that point.) There are over 60 switchbacks on this trail, and we lost count after 22... Our California Waterfalls book recommends to attempt this hike early in the morning due to the southern exposure of the sun later in the day. Oh, what do those guidebooks know?!
We were in awe at this view of Upper Yosemite Falls. From the Valley floor, you can't even see that little stream of waterfall to the left. There is a pool that feeds that one. We hiked up another 25 minutes, but turned around due to time of day, not enough water, and also a strong craving for Curry Village Pizza and beer.
