Graduation @ ARC

Chris decided to walk about a week before graduation! Him and his study group were able to all be together, which made the ceremony more fun for them. It was a very windy day, and caps were flyin everywhere! See all the little RN's on their caps?

I think Chris said it best in his speech. (The last line)
"And to all of those that helped us through the years, you now have your family member back!" (We couldn't be more thrilled!)
We drove up to Paul Martin's in Roseville for a celebration dinner.

All the nurses present: Robin, Kim, Mom, Wynt, Chris, Janet, Suzie, and Shari. too bad it's a little blurry. That is a lot of nursing experience: a rough guess at: 75 years of nursing between everyone! Wowsers. Not a bad place to have a health issue! Just kidding.
Kim stopped by on her break to help us celebrate! Wish you could have stayed longer, but it was great to see ya.

Carolyn (Same kidney transplant friend) came to celebrate. This last year, Chris, Carolyn, and I have randomly enjoyed yogurt at Big Spoon as well as friday nights at the Baker's. It is nice to have such a nice friend only a mile away!
Elise (7 weeks) and Mathew (16 weeks) would be interesting in the ring. Just kidding. Mathew has the smile down, and giggle, as well as some crazy arm motions like the macarena. Elise is good at a slight smile, sleeping, and keeping mommy up through the night.

After the Pinning Ceremony

A very windy day, indeed. I guess you could say the wind was blowing the stress, build-up, and gotta-study attidude away.

The Pinning Ceremony

May 20th, 2008. The day that we have been waiting for for so long was here! Chris was nervous at home all day while I had by first day at Sutter Roseville. They let me go home early that day to enjoy the festivities. Chris's speech turned out very very AWESOME! I am thinking about you-tubing it so that all can see what a great job he did. Whew! When that was over, he let out a sigh of relief and enjoyed the rest of the ceremony.

Although there were many many children who seemed to be very unhappy during the ceremony, Mathew was an ANGEL! He slept through most of the ceremony and did not contribute to the extra noise.

Chris- Congrats! You made it through being surrounded by mostly women for 2 years. That in itself is a great accomplishment (Not to down grade women, but that is a challenge, we know that!) Also, all of the studying that lead to A's really solidified your efforts. But I am sure glad that phase is over! (as you are!)

Ho-Down

Celebrating Robin's birthday with a country flair! A co-worker and friend of Chris's invited us to her ho-down 40th birthday party in their barn. This was no usual ho-down, as there was catered BBQ food, DJ's, and drinks galore. Not to mention an energetic host with a passion for dancing and country music. They are building this over 2500 sq. ft barn on their property. A perfect setting for a warm country night in Auburn.

Chris and I brought Robin a pinata filled with country do-dads from the dollar tree. We left the fleet-enemas at home due to the potential for squirting someone's eye out!

The macarena came back BIG that night! Thank you for inviting us to this great party.

Mother's Day Continues

Chris's mom came to stay with us for 10 days to get some Kaiser hours. It worked out well for mother's day too. She of course worked in the morning. But we got home from our day in Placerville and she was here. We made some chicken ceasar salad, and took her to see Made of Honor at the movies. They laughed at me for taking this picture at the movies, but ya gotta document!

We enjoyed having you around, Janet. It was nice to have someone home with me when Chris was gone. Thanks for being such a good momma B and mom!

Mother's Day

We celebrated the Mommas at Grammy's house. We decided on a Pot-luck brunch. We all made it! It was an absolute beautiful day. One of those 80 degree days with some breeze mixed in. Elise Kay enjoying the patio.
The boys finished the day with some football and air-soft gun shooting.
