Birthday Weekend

Headed up to Sly Park Lake for a long weekend filled with family, friends, and of course, food! Margaux and Jake came up for a night of fun, midnight full moon celebrations, playing scatergories, and hiking!
Chris and Jake walking down the mile-long tunnel through the mountain. It was dark and cold, and I am sure proud of them for making it! I knew they were man enough, but dark and cold and through a mountain!? At least go back and grab a flashlight! Margaux and I chatted and calmed the kids down who began to gather. They could hear Chris and Jake's voices but didn't know there were people down there! Jake came out screaming and freaked the kids out! It was funny stuff!
Colin and Jac came up and floated on the megastation! Colin ended up suffering a minor battle wound courtesy of an extremely sharp rock. I couldn't help laughing as he described his toe as looking like sweet and sour pork! Discusting but hilarious!

Marsh kept it real on the megastation but requested that photos be removed. (She is a hottie but obviously in denial!)
Ava, Lily, Elly Kay (not pictured above) and Elly Rain also came up for the day. The Aubin kids are soooo bufff! Just kidding. Their suits have floaties inside! Elly Rain shared her treats with the other girls, and Lily and Ava had a blast on the megastation jumping around and shouting "Pincher Bug!!" (Dont worry I dont get it either!) The mud was a little nasty but the girls liked it!
Dave and Lily enjoying what was left of the lake by our campsite.
Uncle Chris doing what he does best with the girls--HAVING FUN! They are eating marshmellows, a common snack but did you know very easy for kids to choke on???
Margaux working it down the creek! Perfect poise!
Chris tried and ended up getting sucked down in this weird cement thing!! He did good otherwise, and got some sun too!

Court and Robbie made it up to celebrate! We enjoyed playing scattergories and eating mmm Jiffy Pop!
Mat and Jay and Ashton (under blanket). Jay made a delicious blackberry and peach pie for my birthday. Since Marsh got me a carrot cake, Jay suggested I take the homemade treat home and enjoy it. So, I did! I didn't share!!
The girls are so fun at this age. After dinner we had a dance right in the campground to some interesting music that our disrespectful neighbours were blasting!
Enjoying each other's company and nature.
It takes 4 to carry it!
What an enjoyable time we had. I had a great birthday, 25th year, watch out!
